QUERCETIN

Quercetin is a flavonoid found in some common foods, mainly onion, blackcurrants, broccoli, green tea, grapes and tomatoes. They have a higher content in Certified Organic or natural foods. Certified organic red wine may also provide Quercetin. Keep it to a nip after dinner.

It is safe when sourced from common foods, however because Quercetin can accumulate in the tissues, taking it as a supplement potentially has safety concerns. Potential Quercetin side effects are : nausea, headaches, and breathing difficulties. Quercetin supplements interact with several medical drugs. Avoid use unless you have approval with your General Practitioner. Disturbed function of kidneys and thyroid is possible.
