PEPITAS -PUMPKIN SEEDS

Pepitas (pumpkin seed) gathered from Cucurbita pepo, are useful if you have a zinc deficiency. Sometimes zinc deficiency causes an enlarged prostate. If an enlarged prostate is mild, a small handful of pepitas may help. If prostate surgery is necessary, pepitas may support gradual recovery. A heaped teaspoon of pepitas 3-4 times weekly should be adequate for the recovery process. Pumpkin seed oil, a teaspoon with the evening meal, might help improve kidney function, if urinating is a bit sluggish. The oil is also known by herbalists to help expel tape worms.

Come on in to  Rockhampton Health Options for good quality pepitas. You can lightly roast them or just eat raw and enjoy eating this healthy snack.
