Peter is strongly positioned in the treatment of emotional stress. Psychotherapy training was an integral part of Naturopathy qualification requirements in the early 1980's. It was compulsory, not elective training. Under the direction of mentor, Simon Schot, Peter's psychotherapy training involved educational subjects recognised by the British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy, which comprised of three aspects.
- Relaxation treatment aims to correct neuromuscular tension caused by emotional stress. The main benefit is reducing the need for weekly massage sessions.
2. Supportive treatment purpose is to assist with useful mental reduction methods to ease emotional stress.
3. Psychosomatic treatment identifies the causative memory factor that is triggering emotional stress. Once this is known, Peter works with a person to restore better wellbeing, which aims to improve and protect general vitality.
Normally, a change for the better begins with. the first treatment process. Peter always provides practical tips to minimise frequency of followup consultations.
